Opt-in path 1
Customer registration form
New and returning customers may complete Pinkie’s public appointment and client-registration form. The form collects the customer’s mobile number in the owner-information section. In the final Visit Preferences section, the customer sees a separate, optional SMS-consent checkbox.
The checkbox is unchecked by default, is not marked required, and must be actively selected by the customer. The form may be submitted without selecting it. Only an affirmative selection authorizes service-related texts.

Exact checkbox disclosure
I agree to receive service-related text messages from Pinkie’s Pooch Parlor, LLC, including appointment confirmations and reminders, scheduling changes, grooming-progress updates, pickup notifications, payment-related customer care, and follow-up scheduling. Message frequency varies and may include up to six messages per scheduled appointment, plus occasional customer-care follow-ups. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Privacy Policy: https://www.pinkiespoochparlor.com/privacy. Opt-in path 2
Verbal consent
When a customer schedules by phone or in person, Pinkie’s may offer the same optional service-related messaging program. Staff reads the script below before recording consent. A clear affirmative response is required; silence, an unclear response, or a refusal is treated as no consent.
Staff script
“Before we wrap up, would you like to receive service-related text messages from Pinkie’s Pooch Parlor about your dog’s appointments? These may include confirmations and reminders, scheduling changes, grooming-progress updates, pickup notifications, payment-related customer care, and follow-up scheduling. Message frequency varies and may include up to six messages per scheduled appointment, plus occasional customer-care follow-ups. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for help. Your consent is optional and is not required to book or receive grooming services. May we send these texts to the mobile number you provided?”
If the customer says yes
Staff confirms: “Perfect—thank you. We’ll record your permission and send only service-related messages. You can reply STOP at any time.”
If the customer says no
Staff responds: “No problem at all. We won’t enroll this number in texting, and it won’t affect your grooming services.”
How verbal consent is recorded
After an affirmative response, staff records the customer’s mobile number, the date of consent, and verbal as the consent method in the customer record before messaging is enabled. If the customer does not clearly agree, the number is not enrolled.
